Questions about studio use

Q: What should I do in an emergency?
A: Please add us on LINE using this link and send us a message. If you need to call 110 or 119, please do so first. Our studio's address is 1-26-4 Nishiogu, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo. Using the inquiry form may result in a delayed response. Please contact us immediately if any of the following situations occur:

  • Something is spilled, the studio is damaged, or cleaning is required.
  • There is a power outage or a malfunction with the lighting fixtures.
  • You are locked in due to a key malfunction, etc.
  • Trouble occurs between customers.
  • A piano string breaks or there is an abnormality with the keys.

Q: What should I do in case of a disaster, and where are the evacuation shelters?
A: In the event of a disaster, our studio will connect with the manager via the studio's surveillance camera to initiate communication. Please follow the manager's instructions. However, depending on communication conditions, we may contact you via phone or email. The evacuation shelters for our studio are as follows. Since our studio is located near the Sumida River, in the event of a levee breach or flood warning, we recommend evacuating to higher ground in the direction of Tabata Station, rather than towards the Sumida River. The main evacuation shelters for our studio are as follows:

  • Ogu-Miyama Elementary School / 1-4-17 Nishiogu, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo
  • Seventh Junior High School / 4-30-28 Nishiogu, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo
  • Tabata Station / 1-17 Higashitabata, Kita-ku, Tokyo

Q: The studio is dirty; can you clean it?
A: We generally do not offer cleaning services outside of regular cleaning, but if the studio environment is exceptionally poor, please add us on LINE using this link and send "Cleaning needed." Please note that if the beauty salon staff is unavailable, cleaning may be delayed.

Q: It's my reserved time, but the person inside hasn't come out. What should I do?
A: There is an intercom inside and outside the studio that allows for conversation, so please use that. If the person inside does not come out, it's possible they have mistaken their usage time or are using the studio without permission. In cases of unauthorized use, we place restrictions on reservations and accounts. Regarding usage fees, in accordance with the terms and conditions, the person inside will be charged for your portion of the fee, and you can use the time you were unable to enter for free at another time. If you do not wish to use the intercom, please add us on LINE using this link and send a message stating "The person inside hasn't come out."

Q: Has the piano been tuned? Please tell me the name of the tuner.
A: We conduct regular tunings twice a year, at six-month intervals. We also perform voicing according to the piano's usage. For information on the tuner in charge, please check the business cards available in the studio.

Q: The piano sounds strange.
A: If you notice even the slightest abnormality with the piano, please add us on LINE using this link and send a message describing the situation in as much detail as possible.

Q: Are there any instruments that cannot be played during late-night hours?
A: The following instruments are not permitted during the late-night hours of 0:00 to 7:00. Please inquire in advance about whether an instrument can be used.

  • Instruments listed as unusable on the price list
  • Bass instruments (e.g., contrabass, tuba)
  • Instruments using mini amps

Q: Can I bring in a guitar amp?
A: Mini amps that can be carried by hand are permitted. For other types of amps, unfortunately, we ask that you refrain from bringing them in.

Q: I left something behind. What should I do?
A: Lost items are kept by the manager. If you find a lost item in the studio, please notify us. Our studio operates on a self-reporting system for lost items. We do not contact customers about lost items. If you have left something behind, please inquire. Please also note that our studio bears no responsibility for lost items.

Q: The studio location is hard to find.
A: We apologize for the inconvenience. Mirai Music Studio was originally just a studio, and a beauty salon was later added to the building's structure. You cannot reach the studio without passing through the beauty salon. To use the studio, please open the beauty salon door, enter, and proceed to the back where the studio is located. For more details, please click here.

Q: Is smoking allowed in the studio?
A: No smoking. If you smoke, the smoke detector will activate. Smoking is permitted within the beauty salon, so if beauty salon staff are present, please speak to them before using an ashtray or similar. Please refrain from smoking on nearby roads, etc., as it may disturb the neighbors.

Q: Do I need to remove my shoes in the studio?
A: Yes. Shoes are not allowed inside the studio. Please remove your shoes at the entrance in front of the studio before entering.

Q: Will I be monitored by the surveillance camera in the studio?
A: The surveillance cameras in the studio do not conduct constant monitoring or continuous recording. Also, recorded data is overwritten by new data and will not be stored. Only the manager knows the password security. However, please note that surveillance camera data may be stored and monitored in the following cases:

  • During headcount verification (to check for unauthorized use)
  • If criminal acts such as theft or damage occur
